Client Reviews
"Asked for help reviewing a stock purchase agreement for a very small-scale, uncomplicated, transaction-- just to ensure there are: "no red flags I have missed" (this is exactly what I requested in the initial Job Description). William estimated it would take 1 hour; which is what I expected and what several other lawyers estimated. On our initial phone call he said it would be "very simple". However, simple or not, it instead took 3 hours total and, while I DID receive a thorough, line by line, review of the contract, that is not AT ALL what I was asking for; nor was I prepared to pay for 3 hours of his time when I was told it would take 1. Also, I explained that, since I live outside of the US, I have to be sitting at my computer to receive phone calls from the US so it is important that we schedule time for our calls. He was 30 minutes late for a scheduled phone call which meant I was sitting at my computer waiting for him while I could have been with my children or doing other, more productive, tasks... this is not a big deal in and of itself; but did he deduct the time that he was 30 minutes late for a call? No. But did he bill me for every minute of time that he spent reading an email from me or doing anything whatsoever for this job, of course. The lack of basic common courtesy is bewildering."
