Worked on legal issues and loan processing with respect to the coronavirus (COVID-19), Economic Injury Disaster Loan, under the CARES Act, assisting small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, and private non-profits, recover from the global pandemic under a contracting partnership with IEM and Special Counsel.

Employing executive-level leadership to manage operations and business development for an aviation & engineering solutions start-up, providing technological and scientific capabilities for government and commercial clients in public services, energy, telecom, infrastructure, and agriculture, utilizing high-end UAV technology to conduct aerial engineering inspections.

Assisted in instructing graduate students in the Pharmaceutical Products & Public Policy course, with respect to discussions involving intellectual property protections in industry, legislation that stimulates or stifles the pharma and medical device products industry, and the global implications of domestic pharma policies

Conducted legal and regulatory analysis related to eligibility for Federal grant assistance under FEMA’s PA policy program by conducting subgrantee reviews, creating grant award letters, providing guidance for the Public Assistance Alternative Procedures (PAAP) Pilot Program for Direct Administrative Costs (DAC), and requesting & verifying documentation to allow for more efficient reviews

• Provided policy recommendations to the State of Florida related to natural disasters & Homeland Security issues, while consulting and auditing the State of Florida’s Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the City of Tallahassee, and multiple counties in Florida, seeking maximum reimbursement awards from FEMA

• Assisted clients (Pinellas County, Volusia County, City of St. Petersburg, and City of Lakeland) with identifying and capturing reimbursement of disaster-related costs that are eligible for reimbursement under the Stafford Act & the U.S. DHS’s FEMA PA grant program, by advising local governments on FEMA PA policy, conducting site visits to damaged facilities, etc.

Led a team of activists to combat malaria in sub-Saharan Africa and the local community by meeting with Congressman Tom Rooney’s (R-FL-17) office to advocate for continued funding for U.S. foreign assistance by means of the President’s Malaria Initiative to be appropriated to the United States Agency for International Development and via the Global Fund to be appropriated to the U.S. DOS and UN

Created a legal index for the defense of all transnational “boat cases,” specifically those involving the defense of an accused’s alleged involvement with illicit maritime and air trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances in the Caribbean, in accordance to the Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act, UNODC, and international laws of the sea

Represented the State of Florida on the official court record pursuant to Rule 11 of the Florida Bar, prosecuting juveniles at bench trials for various misdemeanor and felony level offenses, while conducting legal analysis with respect to Richardson hearings and discovery violations in accordance with Florida rules of juvenile procedure.
